LOL. Apparently the organizers changed the Payak course in 2024 to make the Mountain View section less difficult but then they added 2 switchbacks which involve 2 additional hills at the very end. A lot of cattails with most of the fluff gone in a snowy hill landscape. Very red red willows behind. Aspen and spruce here and there. The sky is a leaden grey colour

It's physically hard but with a lot of visual rewards ⛰️. Unlike mountain skiing, we don't meet many people and we can follow our instructor's tips to improve our technique.
The beauty of all this is in being so close to nature.
