I animated this one too!

Getting the chrome to look the way it does was a fun challenge. It didn't reflect anything but the environment in the reference.

I had a good time figuring out how to make the purple wall texture procedurally, too.

Trapper Keeper Art #3

The chrome bits in the foreground were supposed to look a little more liquid-like. But I didn't like how the effect jittered in animation, so I just made them blobs.

Maybe something to revisit later.

Users of the 29th Avenue & Valley Drive bike routes will be pleased to know that (after much delay) the section of Nanton Avenue between Arbutus and Valley has this afternoon been blacktopped. There are now directional, segregated bike lanes with a narrow street for vehicles leaving no room for parking. Sidewalks along both sides are also behind boulevards. It is a very short length but essential. Opening for use must be imminent!

#Transport for #London (TfL) and Santander #Cycles are inviting the public to nominate inspirational women cyclists to mark International Women’s Day on 8 March. Ten Santander Cycles will be named after a mix of professional riders and local ‘unsung heroes’, with winners chosen by a judging panel. The initiative aims to highlight female role models and encourage more women and girls to cycle, addressing barriers such as safety concerns and cost. Cycling journeys in London have risen by 43 per cent since 2019, with around 1.5 million trips made daily. TfL says continued investment in cycling infrastructure, community projects and discounted #cycle hire is helping to make #cycling more #accessible. The capital’s strategic cycle network has grown to more than 431km, alongside targeted safety improvements at key junctions.
