Here are some pictures of #rocks and #RockFormations at #TintagelHaven, which is a small #beach area in a #bay by a pair of #headlands. I like the mix of regularity and irregularity in the rock and #boulder layers and they’re here purely on aesthetic grounds.

Just north of the #headland are two large rocks which are called #TheSisters according to my #OSMap. A safe place for #gulls to congregate.

The #headland juts out into the #sea and its rocks are very angular and the #cliff forms an almost sheer drop of several tens of metres.

Today we went to #Tintagel, which is on the #NorthernCoast of #Cornwall. It is supposed to be the place where #KingArthur was conceived. The veracity of that claim is highly dubious but the rugged beauty of the coast is beyond question. It’s not too difficult to get to, being just over an hour’s drive away. Today’s walk totalled about 12 km.
