The 35mm screening of the original blade runner is still running in my mind.
Long ago, bunch of us rented out a decrepit warehouse in Brooklyn, setup a lab and cloned heavy metal sequestering genes to produce quantum dots. Used to get cheap 6 packs and play blade runner on a projector in the background. Rain leaking through ceiling. This was before most even knew what synthetic biology was.
