The 35mm screening of the original blade runner is still running in my mind.

Long ago, bunch of us rented out a decrepit warehouse in Brooklyn, setup a lab and cloned heavy metal sequestering genes to produce quantum dots. Used to get cheap 6 packs and play blade runner on a projector in the background. Rain leaking through ceiling. This was before most even knew what synthetic biology was.

Many people from these days turned out to be, or turned into scumbags. I wonder what happened #diybio
