One thing also about #DaphneDuMaurier's Rebecca is how well the prose flows from one scene to the next. It's masterly done.
It starts as a dream, then goes to her linking the dream to her past, then we are further in the past with her job with an older woman. But it isn't initially explained what her job is and what the situation is.
But it all flows along perfectly, introducing people and ideas in a casual way, sometimes without warning.
It's a very enjoyable read.
It's written in first person, which is often a style that is very readable and engaging, and allows for sudden conceptual leaps.
