#DasInKobe

From our Sunday visit to Koko-en gardens (next to #Himeji castle).
Winter so not the greatest time for the gardens, but still totally worth a visit.

A pond highly reflective of the blue cloudless sky, and yellow brown trees on the far bank. A red and white koi is in the foreground just visible through the water surface. At the far end of the pond, there is a slightly curved stone bridge

Apparently #Kobe #Pudding is a famous treat*.
Taking a couple of boxes then - for my host and the admin staff who coordinated & made all the arrangements for the trip. This was an unexpected, unplanned until about 2½ weeks ago, and I've never met or interacted with my host before, so I'm #grateful to be able to make this trip albeit sans family.

#DasInKobe but not exactly for long

Stacks of white red and yellow wrapped boxes of Kobe pudding on a shelf with the picture of a caremel pudding (flan) on a plate and a spoon taking some below the shelfA small paper bag with a small white wrapped box inside, resting on a knee

Not exactly #BloomScrolling but more yellow fruit - peppers and these Solanum mammosum (I found out - eggplant of sorts I take it) among blooms in the #Kobe city maintained plant area with info. Great to see the info on plants besides the variety for all to enjoy!

And a very good night to all as it comes your way.

Wet street in the rain at night with bright lights from street lamps or stores on the side s d two people walking ahead with clear/transparent umbrellas

Rainy Sunday - but I have an appointment to keep with an elderly gent who has some stories to tell (here's a pic he showed me as we chatted last time, ). So we're off to #Sakai again - partner elected to skip, it's just me and the kids [they wanted more of that kurimimochi kakigori *] And yes it's the Hankai tram again and the teku teku (take take) ticket we're getting.

More anon

View from the tram out of the front windscreen in front of the driver - it is grey and raining and a blue tram is on the other track. The partition inside the tram that blocks the driver has information on the fare and stops (230¥ per ride or 600¥ for the all day take take ticket)A hand with finger pointing to a old framed photograph on a table with 2 people in it. The person on whom the finger rests is Joël Robuchon

I don't typically eat #breakfast - just black coffee/espresso but making a small exception for the croissants this morning.

Yesterday, to satisfy partners jonesing for #pastries , stopped at the store just around the haircut place - stood in short line, oogled, couldn't decide and picked up 4 of nearly everything. Oh the mini caneles! (Had chocolate and matcha ones, got some other one - lemon too).

Too many pics - so put some in a slideshow (18 seconds) [see next]
