I loved attending #DataHarvest after a 2-year hiatus. I was part of four different sessions, as the developer tinkering with OpenAleph, for @darcdataresearch.
I was happy to have published two write-ups about the first decently-sized feature I worked on, for OpenAleph: making audio & video files searchable and publishing the (AI generated) transcription.
The technical blog post goes into quite a bit of detail about how I did this (and what blew up in my face): https://openaleph.org/blog/2025/05/AI-Transcriptions-in-OpenAleph:-the-First-Steps/68450c9c-78e7-4e3f-8743-40ad6ba7b4f9/
