@tikibunnyimports Yeah, @fuchsiii faced similar issues with her #Datsun1200 minitruck because that never got sold in #Germany so there never was a Type Number (TSN) issued for it, making it basically impossible to just get an #insurance booked with a few clicks like with my #CorsaD 3-door...
- She managed to get it insured as a "truck" because it only has 2 seats and a a long bed, so ">50% vehicle capacity is dedicaded to cargo"...
Still, it did took quite some time for the #DMV to punch it into their system, since it's got no pollution classification, no HSN/TSN combo to drop-down, the vehicle hat greek papers and a non-standard #VIN (they literally took the VIN from the plaque inside the frame that #TechInspection wrote down!)...
- Sadly the #TechInspectors didn't buy the fact that the 13" spiky rims were an original premium option so no historic license plate - yet.
Now granted, a 1985 Tatsun 1200 LGBY does have unfiltered driving as in:
- Manual choke
- No catalytic converter
- naturally aspirated with carburator
- no ABS, ESP, Airbag, eCall
- No navigation, radio, phone mount, bluetooth,
- no climate controls (except a fan & heater ans well as windows)
The most it has are electric wipers with a literal bag of fluid, indicators and lights.
Obviously, we're dealing here with real #ExoticCars in the truest of forms, because it's less of a hassle to get a Bugatti or Koenigsegg registered: They already come with COC papers and stuff from the factory and propably even have a toll-free hotline for DMV employees to authenticate the papers and check that the car ain't stolen. (Cuz stuff like that did and does happen with many vehicles!)...
