Moonstruck

After a quite some time I wanted to do a portrait again, another one of my tries to get out of the uncanny valley in DAZ Studio. That's a slightly modified Genesis 9 character with added vellus hair and some fantasy aspects in the eyes. Since nothing that comes out of iRay can be used as it is, there was a lot of postwork in Photoshop.

She could not believe that the population of this backwater planet was actually dumb enough to entrust their lives and planet to this abomination. Everything about it was artificial and nothing intelligent. Unfortunately this thing was so deeply ingrained in everything on this planet, to deactivate it would mean certain doom for the inhabitants. But there had to be a way to end this reign of AI terror. She would find it.

That guy may have quite a fancy spaceship, but his security was a laugh and more of a nuisance than a problem. Those testosterone-filled augments tend to underestimate her, an error you only make once. The target was posing as a honored member of the senate, but in truth trafficking humans and aliens of any gender, selling highly addictive synth-drugs and military-grade energy weapons to the highest bidder through his clandestine organisation. That would end today. It's her job. She's good at it.

Messing with irises and pupils seems like a cool way to give characters inhuman features, but I've become much more careful with it.

I messed up when I gave Marguerite huge irises to look more cow/goat-like - when she's looking sideways, we judge where she's looking by the EDGE of the iris, not it's centre - she's looking right at Freyja but seems to be staring into space.

Similarly, it's hard to tell when someone with cat/snake slit pupils is looking up or down.

Rematerialization

The magistrate had declared the subject dead, but she could and would not accept that. The subject was still in the matter buffer and her psionic imprint - a 5d representation of her conciousness - was in the hypermatrix, both just waiting to be reintegrated and rematerialized. She did not care if nobody had done this before, she would do it. This girl was the love of her life after all.
