I'm also thinking about whether holding on to stuff that I might need/want again, is about pride.
It makes me feel really good to come up with a use case for an item I've hung on to for the longest time. For me, there might be a bit of vanity involved in hoarding lots of things. So clever to come up with uses!
I might consider how specialist an item is (and #declutter), and keep multi-purpose items. Some kitchen gadgets are the worst in that way. I probably thought it would make me cook more?!

Mother was causing chaos in the house. She'd decided to declutter and all it seems she did was make the clutter worse. The fun thing about this was all of the cool cat toys she had uncovered. Mr. Whiskers looked on in discontent as jingle balls, catnip mice and other fun things came out from under couches, chairs and beds. It didn't help that Autumn was going crazy with the toys, playing and zooming through the mess.
Ugh. Unbearable!!
