August 21, 2013: The ridges today were flat, super flat. As I got closer to Pennsylvania, I started seeing more and more people. Definitely a weekend. One family tried asking me for directions, but I could only point them towards Maine or Georgia. I wasn't much help.
At the bottom of the hill was Delaware Water Gap. This is where the trail crosses the Delaware River. The trail is on a sidewalk on the side of the interstate. Nothing like Washington's crossing. On the Pennsylvania side I stopped in town at a hostel for the night, in the basement of a church.

Chilly afternoon yesterday exploring Dingmans Falls in Dingmans Ferry PA. The snow and ice is mostly gone and few visitors so we had these pretty #waterfalls all by ourselves. The hills along the creek are full of mountain laurel; would love to return when they’re in bloom. #Hiking #DelawareWaterGap #Nature Heavy rain today so packing up the car, leaving the AirBnB (which was better than at our first impression) and heading home.

It was the summer of 1979 and we were backpacking along Dunnfield Creek in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in north west #newjersey .

I was playing slide with the handle of a knife on a guitar that I'd bought from the kid next door for $9. Perfect instrument for banging around in the woods.
