Day 4: A Powerful performance. Oh this is so subjective because you could easily swap in the word memorable. Gong Yoo in #Goblin or Oh Jung Se in #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay

Day 5: A Compelling Historical. #MyCountryTheNewAge

The best revenge #kdrama ever. There are no boring episodes and it offers unexpected twists until the end! The screenwriter is #KimEunSook who also wrote #DescendantsOfTheSun #Goblin #TheHeirs ...

I gave it a 9.5/10 because the chemistry between the two leads felt a bit lacking. #SongHyeKyo gives me cold vibes when it comes to romance. She's brilliant in everything else.

Disclaimer: the first episode is the most violent and hard to watch imho.

I had to do some research to find out what tropes are. The first coming to my mind is when Captain Yoo gets mistaken for ghost in #DescendantsOfTheSun

It's one of the funniest moments in my k-drama journey, I laughed so hard that my belly ached : the incredulity, the ritual setting, the words of wisdom to make him leave 😂😂😂

#kdrama Just binged #Doona and #DescendantsOfTheSun 2 extremely well-done shows. Doona was very gritty, emotionally. Astonishing cinematography, gorgeous sets, and fabulous OST. Descendants of the Sun stretched credibility with all of the leads' near-death experiences but was an excellent military/medical/action/romance drama! Lots of lovely scenery and beautiful stories for so many of the supporting characters.

(2016 Viki, 16 60min eps)

This was a good drama - military action, hospital sitcom, & romcom all in one. I liked the romance of the 2nd & 3rd couples better than the 1st. Both the 1st & 2nd had a lot of repeat romance scenarios which got a little old.

Since much of the action took place outside Korea, the scenery was very different & beautiful. Learning more about the Korean military was interesting. Good OST.

Came for Song Joong Ki, stayed for Kim Ji Won. He was great - doesn't look tough, but he pulls tough guy off really well (See Vincenzo). She is just an amazing actress. She pulls you right in.

I loved seeing the two MLs support each other. The episodes with the main conflict were completely engaging, but once that ended, the storyline seemed to drift a bit.

Good to watch once. Might be a rewatch someday.

I love Song Joong Ki in Vincenzo and he’s excellent here too.

It is so good!! I didn’t realize Kim Ji Won was in it - she hasn’t factored in much, but everything I’ve seen her in has been quality.

Yesterday I watched last episode of Descendants Of The Sun and I can only say wow!
Amazing action scenes, filming location, visual effects (quite rare in a drama!). Quite some laughing too. And the casting was spot-on. I'm so going to see more dramas with Song Joong-ki!
