There's a bloke who lives up the road from us who is the living embodiment of desperate Dan. The jaw, the triangular torso, even the walk (or the imagined walk from the comic drawings). Similarity slightly shattered, at times by his use of a shopping trolley.

Naturally I paid my respects to Desperate Dan and Minnie the Minx while in #Dundee . I was fortunate enough to be friends with Minnie's dad, Leo, so I had to introduce myself to her.

We loved our trip to that Scotland that they have now. I hadn't been to Dundee in 31 years. To say that it's a cleaner, brighter and more vibrant city, even in the rain, would be an understatement. And the #Scotch people were especially friendly, perhaps because my wife is a #Yank with a mild accent.
