Hey lovely #disabledSocial admin, would you consider setting mastodon.social to that; "new follows must be approved" thing you seem to have set up for mastodon.world (? I think it is).
No crisis, just most of the creepy spam/phishing accounts I get seem to come from there.

It's nice to leave new accts kinda soft-blocked until they demonstrate activity of actual humanity (or blatant spamming).

This is AT MOST. It takes a lot of appointments, waiting, explaining, asking, Mandatory Reconsideration, Appeal Tribunal, and luck that they believe you this time because you legalesed your way into the right side of respectability politics.
But ONLY SO FAR and no further, because, clearly, then you’re just “trying it on” to avoid work, and not for any other possible reasons, right? Like. Idk. Being unable, or perhaps, dis-abled from doing so.

IDK if there’s a limit, but your experience is real, regardless.

I have a question for my fellow disabled folk.

When you go out for something, whatever reason. For me yesterday it was a medical appointment. The following day, do you feel like absolute garbage?

I mean feeling tired and everything after you've gotten home is one thing, but I am feeling like absolute trash and this is normal for me after going out.

And I have to go get blood work tomorrow. (Just routine.)
