I'm closing Dishonored after a very frustrating beginning, plus a somewhat chaotic and brutal playthrough.

Whew, I'm off for the last mission on Dishonored and I must say that when I dropped all the pretense of being stealthy and not killing everyone, the game suddenly changed. For the better.

Yes, I tried to be stealthy but I made sure no one was around Corvo to tell the tale where he failed. And I felt less frustrated in the process.

I also need to learn to save and load more often, there's no shame in that.
I'm an old school gamer, back in the days we had limited save points (and don't get me started in limited save storage too)

I decided to give Dishonored another chance, after all the frustation for being so bad at stealth games.

This playthrough, I chose the only stealth approach I can muster: the leave no witnesses way.

Aside from piles of corpses, there's literally NOBODY around me. And I can get all stealthy 👀. Am I doing it right?

Alternate Reality - this might be the hardest one to actually turn into something resembling a proper RPG campaign: a story set in a world that’s just like our own, except it’s… slightly off. For example, #Dishonored computer games are set in a fantastical world, yet it’s designed in such a way that its technology, creatures and architecture seem plausible, even if they’re a bit weird. Pre-war America in the “Fallout” games has also a similar feel: a 1950s retro-futurism gone wild. 4/4

After finishing the second mission (the first real one), I think I actually like #Dishonored. I'm kind of in doubt of how should I play, there are way too few ways to deal with guards stealthly (I've read they improved this in the sequel though). And I don't feel like not using quicksaves because the autosaves feel kind of random...

Jetzt, wo ich seit drölfzig Jahren die Remastered-Version von #ElderScrollsOblivion nochmal spiele, fällt mir erst auf, dass dieser Level von #Dishonored, bei dem man in ein Gefängnis einbricht, optisch fast identisch ist mit den Kanälen von Cyrodiil, wenn man nach dem Tod des Kaisers entkommen und Jauffre suchen muss.

Day 11: Comfort game

I don't often replay games, but I'm always looking forward to another Dishonored playthrough!

Also Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. I love its mystic story and atmosphere. It's a game I "feel" more than I play.

But I will say this now, these games are beautiful, weird and fascinate me.
