EDIT: WE FIGURED IT OUT!

This gasket looking bit came out of the dishwasher. Been scouring parts pages and see nothing like this for our model. It’s a Kenmore 66515872000.

It’s not the door seal, and there doesn’t appear to be anything missing where it might fit in the floor of the washer. It was a circle (broke while dish rack was being pulled out) and is 9 inches in diameter, 1/4 inch high and 1/8 inch thick.

Any ideas?

Finally managed to thoroughly #clean my #water bottle's cap. Submerged it in a mug of boiling water with a little dish soap, moving it up and down with a wooden stirrer poked between it's core and edge. Slivers of gunk came out, no doubt the source of a persistent smell. Glad I didn't need to get a new one just because it's not #dishwasher safe.

• And in #business cases, where there's a "pay per use" payment structure (i.e. expensive machinery like cranes in #construction get rented per machine runtime & availability onsite per hour and some leased CNC machines) it does make sense to collect telemetry so technicians (who may be onsite or not) get alerted instantly and show up with the correct tooling and parts.

As for #dishwasher|s, even the industrial-grade ones used in canteens of universities or chemical laboratories ain't in such setups:

• They just have 1-2 "warm spares" hooked up and ready to take over if one machine fails, and they just have the cleaners and janitor regularly maintain them.

Have you ever notice how there's always more and more #computer in the #technouogy things surrounding us, but many of them utterly fail at being actually calculation machines? My favourite among all of these is when you want set your #dishwasher or #washingmachine to finish or start at a certain time. Some of the damn things even connect to the internet, but they can't figure out when to start if you want your washing to be done before 7 so you can put in the dryer before you leave for work 😂
