Because I'm a sucker for pretzels, I tried the loaded carnitas pretzel bites with cheese sauce, salsa verde, cilantro, and onions yesterday. It was a very tasty dish overall. The pretzel bites were soft without being mushy, and the carnitas had really good seasoning. And cheese makes it all even better. 1/2

I enjoyed the lime parfait from - layers of graham cracker crust, lime cream cheese mousse, and lime-orange gelée topped with chantilly - so much previously that I wanted it again yesterday. They've changed the presentation since I had it before. Still tasty.

I liked the chicken taquito ahogado, served in salsa verde with Spanish rice, avocado crema, sour cream, pickled onion, cotija, and cilantro, from so much when I had the Sip and Savor portion that I went back to have the regular portion for lunch yesterday. The taquitos were a bit dark, but such good flavor on everything, especially the salsa verde.

This was my favorite dish yesterday - shrimp papas locas: cheddar-bacon potatoes with jalapeño cheese sauce and spicy shrimp featuring Tajín Chile Lime sauce. I loved everything about this. The shrimp had good texture, and the potatoes and sauce were so good. I might need to have this again before the event is over.

This was the Sloppy Joe slider featuring IMPOSSIBLE Beef with cheese. It was ok but didn't wow me. There was green chile in the mix, which I liked but a warning for anyone who doesn't like that flavor.

From yesterday, the sirloin gruyére mac & cheese with black garlic chimichurri and garlic butter crunch from . Really nice flavor all around. The mac and cheese was good, but a bit heavy because of the richness of the cheese, so we held off on the other mac and cheese dish until another day.

I got some of the graham cracker crust at the bottom but then I stopped because it was pretty sweet, and I really liked the tartness of the lime elements. 2/2

The favorite thing I've had today is the lime parfait from : Layers of graham cracker crust, lime cream cheese mousse, and lime-orange gelée topped with chantilly. The combination of the lime cream cheese mousse and the lime-orange gelee made for a pronounced lime flavor which was wonderful. 1/2

The chipotle chicken wasn't that exciting, though the salsa verde had really nice flavor, and I liked the inclusion of the grilled green onion.

At the normal price of $9.75, I don't think it's worth it, but with the discount on the making each dish $7.25, that helps a lot. 2/2

Next up was Asa’DOS: Grilled skirt steak and chipotle chicken with Spanish rice and salsa verde. When I first saw this on the menu, I was pretty excited to try it. Ultimately, it was disappointing. The skirt steak was really overcooked, which was evident in just looking at it, making it both tough to cut and chew. 1/2

Jumping into the with lemon pepper wings with garlic ranch. The lemon pepper seasoning on the wings is really good, but the ranch dressing barely has a hint of garlic, so "garlic" ranch would be a more apt description.

On top of Chip is what looks like a slice of pepperoni. But I can't tell what Dale is supposed to be. A tomato? Some kind of fruit? Not sure what kind of "bite" that all is supposed to be, even though they're cute. 2/2

Saw this cute plush released for . But I can't tell quite what it is. It says it's the "perfect bite". There's clearly bread on the bottom, with lettuce on top of that, and then Chip appears to be a giant hunk of cheese. 1/2

Nice to see that the signage is advertising only the booths that are actually part of the festival. Last year, signage and merchandise included the Artichoke and Avocado booths, neither of which were included in the festival after having been mainstays.

I'd normally have coffee with a dessert like this, but since it was already coffee-based, I felt like actual coffee would interfere with the taste. A nice black tea would have been perfect. I opted for just water in the absence of tea. 2/2
