Played through #Dispatch over the weekend and overall it was a cool experience and I enjoyed my time with the game. However, there's a flaw that I'm wondering how it made it past the animators and producers.
One of the characters needs an inhaler, which is drawn cap on at all times, and said character repeatedly takes puffs with the cap on. As someone who's had inhalers my entire life, this was surprisingly immersion breaking in such a fundamental way that I genuinely wondered if it was going to turn out to be a plot point. It wasn't. Giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe the team at AdHoc doesn't have any asthmatics on staff, or maybe they felt they had to do it because it'd seem weird for the character to constantly have to be taking the cap off.
The thing is, the character in question is a bit of a mess, so simply having no cap at all would be a reasonable alternative and play into the character. This could have played into a comedic scene of them taking it and choking on pocket lint fired into their throat unexpectedly at high soeed.
Alternately, they could have simply said "cool capless futuristic inhaler" and drawn it slightly differently. They just didn't, it's never implied, it just seems like the character's a dumbass who can't figure out how it works.
