My wife used to run a rescue, and we have two good friends who run a rescue--we are no longer in that business, but Change A Life Dog Rescue is and they were just awarded

$30,000 in a Verizon Wireless promotion.

At first they thought they received enough support (by online votes) for one of the $5000 prizes, but they and a few other recuses got $30,000 each.

I'm not sure if people realize what that means fir a small rescue, but it's the world to the dogs it'll help.
