Sometimes our best is doing a whole bunch of stuff. Sometimes it's doing one thing that really needs done.

And, sometimes, doing our best means resting.

Doing our best can look different for everyone on different days, but especially for those of us who live with variable disabilities. Any number of things can impact our energy and capacity.

Doing our best every day doesn't mean pushing ourselves to breaking, or burnout!

Sometimes, doing our best looks a lot like doing nothing!

#today I am back in #London taking care of my parents. We went to the new town hall square. This is about a 1 km walk each way but for them it was a massive trip out. It took them 40 mins to get ready. There was a craft fair on and they chose cup cakes to eat later. I found their choices interesting. I made them fish, bacon and corn....as a vegetarian it looked pretty tasty to me.It's been a good day. #carer #walthamstow #DoingMyBest

Sometimes I feel like I have a lot to say and a lot to offer and other times I feel like I’m trapped in my own head and I’m unable to connect with anyone and articulate things in a way that is valuable or productive.

I get caught up in “I’m too tired/burnt out to talk about infosec stuff” and “maybe I should talk about infosec stuff more because I have so much to say” and it’s just really difficult to balance it sometimes.

I get waves of anxiety and finding what feels right at any given moment can be hard.

Working on a TTS solution for game maker that doesn't require a DLL. Because of technical problems it's rather hard to make a DLL that works outside of Windows (Also SAPI sucks). This is it "Working" but I still have some tweaking to do! To work in any game maker project just need to throw the two scripts in and the sound files into game maker. I’ve got to do an in person workshop with 30 people for work, enclosed space with crappy ventilation. I’m taking my two HEPA filters, not powerful enough for the size of room but every little helps, FPP3 mask will be on and staying on. I’m going to go against company policy and I will remind everyone that some of us have vulnerable people at home and to encourage testing before they come, wearing masks and if at all ill to stay home.
