So this past weekend I had the opportunity to educate my 10yo nephew about Super Mario Bros. 2 and Doki Doki Panic. Like, unironically and in earnest, I told him about SMB2J/Lost Levels, what happened with All-Stars on SNES, and how all of DDP's enemies were absorbed into the larger Mario franchise.

I've memed so much on SMB2/DDP in the past that I'd almost forgotten how truly fascinating the whole situation actually was.
