Das Aufsetzen des #LexikonDerNeuzeit auf #Dokuwiki macht Fortschritte. Die Deadline für das Online stellen am 1.1.26 wird zu halten sein. Derzeit befinden sich 30 Lexikonartikel darin. Zufriedenheit und Zuversicht herrschen!

Am I getting this right? There is currently no useable WYSIWIG Editor - or even a somewhat better-than-the-default editor, for #dokuwiki?

CKGEdit doesn't work.
ProseMirror doesn't work.

Fair enough, none of them is listed as being compatible with version 2025-05-14 "Librarian".

This is unexpected. Thought the userbase would be bigger so that such a situation wouldn't occur.

Für das #LexikonDerNeuzeit, das Anfang 2026 online gehen soll, wühle ich mich durch all die Templates und Plugins, mit denen das #Dokuwiki aufgepeppt werden soll. Was für eine grausliche IT-Geheimsprache da herrscht: unverständlich, hingerotzt und grammatikalisch fragwürdig. Es scheint, als würden viele Entwickler keine Standardsprache beherrschen, sondern nur mehr einen grauenhaften IT-Slang. Ja natürlich, jede Fachsprache hat ihre Terminologie, aber erklären sollte sie sich schon können.

A piece of free software I rely on at work is #Dokuwiki: https://www.dokuwiki.org
We run it on a simple Apache & PHP VM. No need for a database, connects to LDAP for user accounts (optional).

It's old-school but it also has a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) plugin for editing pages - which doesn't support all formatting features (pending more funding from interested users). But it's there so the non-techy people can clicky-click their headlines and tables.

I'm setting up some wiki engine #mediawiki #dokuwiki #wikijs but I think I haven't found what I like yet :/

I am considering to move from #orgmode to another tool less dependant in emacs, selfhosted and more mobile friendly. I am considering #silverbullet but also #dokuwiki. Silverbullet is modern, fresh and markdown. However, dokuwiki has a well defined unique syntax (pandoc supports it) and it seems a good options for long term storage of plain text files. I feel a bit old-fashioned taking into account dokuwiki....

I am surprised by the versatility and the easyness of DokuWiki! Because of workplace policies I am not allowed to install Obsidian so I was trying a dokuwiki instance where I host in my server. So far so good. It is also file based, which is a big bonus #dokuwiki

Was gibt es denn noch für weitere (OpenSource) alternativen zu #Dokuwiki, #sphinx und co zur Umfangreichen Dokumentation?

Ich pflege ein #DokuWiki, aber wie sich herausstellt nutze ich für die richtig wichtigen Sachen Ctrl+R.

@tootbrute@fedi.arkadi.one There's a plugin for #Dokuwiki to support #Markdown if I'm not mistaken. If you're looking for an alternative that also doesn't need a database, I've been pretty happy with Silverbullet, but I don't use Yunohost so I am not sure what its limitations are, and not sure what you desire for your wiki needs.

i installed #dokuwiki on #yunohost. it's neat. i like how there is no database, just files.....but... no markdown?!?!

Première étape : transformer son moteur wiki, basée sur la syntaxe de #DokuWiki , pour gérer la syntaxe plus répandue #markdown.

J'avais commencé le taf il y a des années (premier commit en... 2011).

Je recommande par ailleurs très fortement ce logiciel pour prendre/organiser des notes/textes.

Tak konečně mi to běží,
kvůli úsporám jsem zrušil WEDOS, poskytovatel NETU mi dal k dispozici doménu 3.řádu a WWW prostor, bohužel bez databáze a se starým PHP - tam něco rozchodit je fakt opruz
Tak teď postupně přepisuji své "uzly na kapesníku" z velké WiKi do DokuWiKi

He reinstalado por enésima vez mi segundo dokuwiki (el que trata de cómo destripar juegos de Ms-DOS y Windows 95).

Al final, si pierdes la contraseña de un dokuwiki, lo más fácil es guardar el directorio /data, reinstalar y sobreescribir ese directorio.

Ich arbeite mich gerade in den #schnellstarter von #deadlands ein, da ich jetzt endlich gerne mal nach den #savageworlds Regeln spielen möchte.

Wie lernt ihr neue Systeme/Regeln?

Ich selbst copy&paste mir den Text Stück für Stück in mein #dokuwiki und formatiere in entsprechenn beim Lesen.

Durch das Verlinken innerhalb des Wikis auf verschiedene andere Regelteile bleibt dann doch immer gleich einiges hängen im Hirn.
Das gleiche dann auch bei Abenteuern.
