Ich mach mal #doorsday und #FensterFreitag zusammen, denn es ist vorder- und Rückansicht desselben Motivs.

Von vorne ein barocker, oder schon klassizistischer Torbogen, d.h. zwischen zwei Häusern ist die schmale Zufahrt, zur Bauzeit höchstens für Kutschen, von zwei säulenpfosten seitlich und einem gemauerten Bogen darüber schmückend eingefasst. Oben mit hauswappen und laubwerk verziert. Früher war auch tatsächlich ein hölzernes Tor, und der Zugang zum Hof versperrbar. In mittlerer Länge des gässchens geht ein Übergang von dem einen Haus zum anderen im ersten Stockwerk, ein Brückenbogen statt nur torbogen.Hier derselbe Zugang von hinten, vom Hof her. Jetzt ist der brücken-Übergang vorne, mit schieferschindeln verkleidete Fassade, Fenster in Mitte. Im Hintergrund das Tor wo gerade ein kleineres Auto reinfährt; wenn man sich an die Wand drückt, kommt es vorbei.

On this #doorsday one should always remember this #UniversalTruth : Never trust a door with locks on the outside.

A weathered metal door with rust and grime is centered against a vibrant, peeling orange wall. Graffiti in green is present at the bottom left. An number pad is mounted next to the door. The surrounding area shows signs of neglect. The door has a large mechanical locking bolt just above the handle.

I heard via @Alice that it’s #DoorsDay so here’s my share. I took this photo about 2 hours before the pretty green grass I shared in my earlier post. It’s in Coatesville, PA. Anyone familiar with that old old city? If so speak up—this place is an incredible historic site I hope is being restored. So I’ll not name it yet to see if anyone knows. Looks almost medieval, ay? #Pennsylvania #Historic #Stone #Door #Decay

Very old wood door with rusted antique strap hinges and small viewing panel of 6 small square panes is installed above the handle. It’s very crude, weathered and warped. The entrance is at the corner inside a long straight wall of the building to left, unseen, and a curving wall to the right. Building is made of mortared blocks of stone. An old asphalt sidewalk or parking pavement is almost crumbled up leading to the door. It looks sinister but maybe used to be magnificent before decades of decay.

Eine rote Tür mit oben einen Rundbogen führt zu einem Keller, der in einen Hügel gegraben wurde. Die Wände bestehen aus Naturstein. Auf dem Dach wächst Gras. Auf der linken Seite befindet sich ein Lüftungsturm mit einem kleinen Sonnenstern, denn heute ist schönes Wetter. A red door with a round arch at the top leads to a cellar dug into a hill. The walls are made of natural stone. Grass grows on the roof. On the left-hand side is a ventilation tower with a small sun star, because today is a beautiful day.
