Neptune Towers apartments, 130 Neptune Blvd, Lynn MA photographed from Buck Hill.
I was going through some of my past photo shoots and came across this photo of this pair of apartment buildings reflecting the late day sun. I had not previously identified these buildings or much of the detail seen in this image. This particular day (Nov 2024) was marred by wildfire smoke and air turbulence, but with some corrections, I was able to get a decent resulting image.
As I am looking at the two apartment buildings, I noticed what appeared to be the faint outline of a tower, exactly between the two buildings. At first I thought my eyes were playing a trick on me, but it turns out this is the steeple of Saint Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church, 74 S Common St, Lynn MA.
To the right of the aparment building is the former Mary T Ronan School, 154 Bradstreet Ave, Revere MA. This building now serves as housing for the elderly. Below the apartments and school building there are many houses that can be seen, most of which are on Pearl Ave, Revere MA.
Below the houses and above the water there is a bridge that spans between Saratoga St, East Boston and Main St Winthrop MA.
Below the bridge is a portion of Logan Airport with a couple of jets on the runways. Below the airport is part of Conley Terminal, 700 Summer St, South Boston MA. These look like they are adjoined in the photo, but they are on different pennisulas.
A the very bottom of the frame is an apartment building at 171 Walnut St, Dorchester MA and the spire of the Community Church of Neponset, 51 Walnut St, Dorchester MA.

The Jeremiah E Burke High School, 60 Washington St, Dorchester MA (6.37 miles) with five churches, photographed from Buck Hill. The high school building takes up almost the entire width of the image along the botton of the frame. The flag pole sits directly in front of the main enterance to the school on Washington St. The back entrance to the school is on Geneva Ave on the right side.

Twelfth Baptist Church, 160 Warren St, Roxbury MA (7.64 miles)
Resurrection Lutheran Church, 94 Warren St, Roxbury MA (7.77 miles)
Holy Tabernacle Church, 70 Washington St, Dorchester MA (6.33 miles)
St John Missionary Baptist Church, 230 Warren St, Roxbury MA (7.47 miles)
Roxbury Presbyterian Church, 328 Warren St, Roxbury MA (7.24 miles)
Roxbury Presbyterian has a the main steeple and then a smaller steeple which can just been seen to the right side of the high school. Holy Tabernacle is the only one of the five that is in front of the high school. Three of the churches are on the same street, Warren St in Roxbury.
In the background is One Dalton, the Sheraton Boston Hotel, and 177 Huntington (Christian Science Plaza) all in Boston MA. I have covered these buildings in earlier posts.

A revisit of Somerville City Hall, 93 Highland Ave, Somerville MA photographed from Buck Hill. While this image is significantly more clear than the one I posted back in August, the belfry and clock tower are now obscured by scaffolding as part of restoration and repairs.
The real revelations in this photo are the clear images of the Fuller Memorial Bell Tower, 200 Main St, Andover MA and Cochran Chapel, 2 Chapel Ave, Andover MA. Both are associated with Phillips Academy Andover. The shape of the Fuller Tower can clearly be seen in this new image. Also the cross at the top of Cochran Chapel can clearly be seen. Both of these are about 30 miles away.
Another big improvement is the view of Wright's Tower in Medford MA. The observation window near the top can clearly be made out, as can color variations in the brick.
Below are my notes from the former post on the other structures visible in this image.
To the upper left of City Hall is the Summit Apartments, 425 Broadway, Somerville MA. Almost directly above this is rocky outcrop containing Wright's Tower, Medford MA, which looks a lot like the observation towers on the top of Great Blue Hill and at the base of Chickatabut.
To the upper right of City Hall is St Ann Catholic Church, 399 Medford St, Somerville MA.
To the lower right is the research and development building for Pfizer Inc, 1 Portland St, Cambridge MA.
To the lower left is West Village Residence Complex H, Northeastern University, 440 Huntington Ave, Boston MA. In front of this is the back portion of the United House of Prayer, 206 Seaver St, Dorchester MA
