Comet SWAN25B, from southern New Mexico on the evening of 14 September is faint and not showing any tail.

This is a crop of an image I took when the sun was approx. 12 - 14 degrees below the horizon. The comet is identified with two short red lines. I have also labeled Spica and two nearby stars that show how faint the comet is. (I'm quite sure this is the comet. It's in the correct location, the brightness profile is not like a star...it's a little fuzzy, and there may be a hint of green to it.)

I also searched this part of the sky with 25x100 binoculars...and did not detect it visually.

I won't go after this comet again unless it gets considerably brighter.

It is easier to see in the southern hemisphere. Good luck Down Under.
