🚗🤖 So, Tesla's playing the "let's a without actually testing it" game. Because who needs checks when you can just press the 'Launch!' button and hope for the best? 🚀🙈

The image shows a document from the Department for Transport titled "GoA4 Operating Model Feasibility Assessment." The document discusses the feasibility of implementing driverless trains with Grade of Automation 4 (GoA4) on the London Underground. It references the Transport for London (TfL) Long-Term Funding Settlement issued on 30 August 2022. The main report explores the potential implementation of driverless trains, considering benefits, costs, and challenges. It outlines seven workstreams for analysis, including initial analysis, network feasibility, challenges and mitigation, benefits, cost and value assessments, and public sector equality implications. Certain sections of text are blacked out, indicating redaction. A list of common abbreviations, such as ATO, BCDM, and CCTV, is provided. A disclaimer note at the bottom mentions that the document contains confidential information not representative of TfL's views or policies. The image is a document page titled "Department for Transport GoA4 Operating Model Feasibility Assessment." It consists of sections discussing the feasibility of driverless trains on the London Underground. The document highlights the Department for Transport's view on modernisation and the need to keep pace with other European networks. It discusses GoA (Grades of Automation) levels, enumerating automation levels from manual to unattended operation in a table titled "Grades of Automation." This table lists grades alongside types of train operations, covering GoA1 to GoA4+, indicating various levels of automation and associated London Underground lines. The image is a document from the Department for Transport, titled "GoA4 Operating Model Feasibility Assessment." The top section contains a blue box with white text discussing the Nuremberg Metro's mixed operations and safety measures for GoA4 trains. Below it, the main body discusses the rescue of stranded trains and fire incidents, suggesting technical mitigations like emergency signage, lighting, and public address systems in tunnels. At the bottom, another blue box highlights the Glasgow Subway's assessment of evacuation scenarios. A footer notes the document's confidentiality and relevance to TfL and the London Underground, with a page number "24."The image consists of two diagrams illustrating radar-based intrusion detection systems for the Nuremberg Metro. The first diagram shows a tunnel entrance with a radar system. A person stands near the edge of the platform, and several labels indicate features: "video equipment to analyse the situation," "Intrusion detection," and "high-frequency system (24 GHz) to detect objects." The second diagram depicts another perspective of the intrusion detection system. It includes features labelled as "Track intrusion detection," "Tunnel intrusion detection," and "Detection system for coupling area," with a "Guarded platform end door for controlled access." Both diagrams are topped by a red header with the words "Intrusion detection system" and display simplified side views of the train and platform.

In this week's issue we featured and article about #driverless tech being applied to buses instead of cars. Who knows when the public would feel safe with this, but it seems better than clogging up our street with selfdriving cars. #urbanism+

Would you be willing to ride in an autonomous bus?

calling these euphoria-blinded "investors" marks a new low in financial reporting. They are, indeed, "betting" not investing. Don't insult the profession.

Is there considerable hype about and, for example, taxis? Certainly.

However that doesn't mean that there's *no* merit to either, and there aren't considerable benefits that might be realised for some.

@Anachron @frameworkcomputer @DeltaWye @SenorGeorgie @ljrk Anachron, you will not need to package any drivers. All modern printers are #driverless #IPP printers and using #Linux and #PAPPL for the firmware, the printer will also be driverless.

If you package the standard printing stack of OpenPrinting: #CUPS, #cups-filters, #Ghostscript, ... Void Linux will be good for all modern printers.
