Damit wird der Austieg aus der Microsoft-Welt weiter vorbereitet.

So, I'm looking to migrate my dropbox account (paid) to a nextcloud provider (EU-based). I've found two in the Netherlands: https://thegood.cloud/ and https://procolix.eu/ . I don't mind paying 360 euros a year instead of 100, but does anyone have any experience with these two, or other recommendations?

I have half a dozen or more systems, linux, windows, macos, android, ipados, remarkable and I would like most of them to sync selectively.

Decided to migrate off of Dropbox and onto pCloud. The Linux app is decent and I now have twice the cloud storage for cheaper than Dropbox.

Mein persönlicher #DID ist heute. Ich habe einen guten Hinweis auf kDrive von infomaniak aus der Schweiz erhalten, einen Account angelegt und gleich mein #Dropbox Konto übertragen und gelöscht.
Jetzt läuft noch der Import von meinem #OneDrive Konto, über das ich gerne Fotos von Veranstaltungen geteilt hatte.
Das wird dann wohl morgen gelöscht!

Wenn wir in #Europa endlich unabhängig von #USA und #China werden wollen, müssen wir an sehr vielem arbeiten. Und das muss gestartet werden. Jetzt!
Ich lese immer sehr viel von digitaler Unabhängigkeit. Bei Messengern weg von #WhatsApp. Beim Betriebssystem hin zu #Linux. #Libreoffice statt #MsOffice. Hin zu #Nextcloud und damit weg von #GoogleDrive, #iCloud, #Dropbox, #OneDrive & Co.
Bei Finanz lese ich aber immer nur #Wero statt #Paypal. Und da klemmt es schon. Wero ist unnötig kompliziert gemacht. Damit die Einstiegsschwelle hoch. Warum zum Teufel muss meine Bank es anbieten. Bei PayPal ist die Bank auch scheißegal.
Und worüber niemand spricht: Schaffen einer europäischen Alternative zu #Visa, #Mastercard, #AmericanExpress. Da müssen wir auch ran.

Ziehen die Amis Morgen den Stecker sind wir zurückgeworfen ins Mittelalter

Z.B. mit KDE connect, Samba share, oder packet für android. Das werde ich heute Abend testen.

Aktuell nutze ich dafür einen USB Stick am Router und einen alten Rechner mit Linux als NAS. Ganz ohne #cloud.

Hint 2: if you also break synching with Linux I will cancel, since Linux is the main reason I chose your service.

** In the Android app, you released an update that broke the previous version, so only updating would let me view anything. But you didn't do anything useful, like a message *saying* that. Oh, no. Just a blank white screen that would mean despair to anyone

Having updated, some (but not all) of my media files still won't open in the app, but an old Android file manager not updated for ages still opens them just fine. It's not me. It's you.
