I convinced myself to keep playing horror games. Among the arguments used were things like: it’s interesting to delve into what horror is. Is it horror or is it dark fantasy? What about something like #DungeonKeeper, to name something I (re)played before? It’s almost a comedy. What if horror is, say, colonization or capitalism or Nazis?
And there are still TOO MANY games to choose from…

Dungeon Keeper is one of my all time favourite games. It was the late 90s and developer Bullfrog were at the height of their powers, producing a deep RTS filled with humour and character.
I'm listening to the #dosgameclub podcast on the game and, despite finishing DK back in the day, I'm learning a lot. I have the GOG version so I think I'll have another play soon.

I just found the Dungeon Keeper community over on #lemmy and since I love it dearly to this day and it majorly inspired my entire online presence today, I had to go on a long tangent of all the amazing things I remember and loved about that #game

Restarted skybird trill & this time got a non-potato blue trying to scavenge my bile demons!! Captured both avatars, man the second was a sweat, the avatar & L10 knight are a meat sink. Attacked blue from the prison side & only barely DENTED the L10 vampires. Possessed an avatar & smacked in the heart manually. Nice to have beaten the level fully & properly though, & to top it off the game told me it’s a full moon tonight, never seen this before such a cool feature! #dungeonkeeper #retrogaming
I'm used to blue being an utter bastard with seemingly a hundred level 10 vampires. LAST playthrough I sniped the dungeon heart with dragon fireballs from across the avatar's 'prison' which he's not in. One day I want to take blue on more convensionally. #dungeonkeeper #retrogaming
Well, I finished Skybird Trill, which is NOT as good as Mistle. It's very confusing, it's hard to know what and when the triggers are.
By the time I beat the second avatar blue seemed to have vanished and the only way I could see to complete the level was to lightning three big hero lads who had wandered into blue and seemingly knocked over their dungeon heart. Then I had a 15 min wait before bridge showed up unannounced and I could claim blue's territory. #dungeonkeeper #retrogaming
