I have say I'm so glad I ditched #DuoLingo for the #MangoLanguages app.

I'm Learning so much more with Mango, learning more useful phrases, and constantly being tested on what I've learnt.

Duo more of less gives you the answers so you can often work out what the answer is without actually translating anything.

Duo is about engagement primarily, and it doesn't always test you in the right ways.

Nachdem #Duolingo den "AI first"-Weg eingeschlagen ist, habe ich Duo von meinem Handy gelöscht und bin jetzt auf der Suche nach einer neuen App.

Im Augenblick probiere ich #DropsApp aus und mein erstes Zwischenfazit ist recht positiv. Während Duolingo in Russland queere Inhalte aus seinen Kursen löscht, lerne ich gerade wie Intersektionalität und die LGTBQ+-Gemeinschaft auf Russisch heißen.

I’ve been using mimo to learn to code and I like their duolingo-approach to learning. But now, they too, have been infected by the AI-virus. They are promoting “instance”, basically an AI-tool for vibe coding. (Ok, earlier they already introduced an AI-helper of sorts). Incidently, I deleted my duolingo account when they said they’d start AI-generating material. Ugh, the AI-enshittification of everything. Please just teach me stuff! What with #Anki being so great, I had quite forgotten I still had a #Duolingo account. I've now marked it for deletion. Duo has been drinking deep from the #enshittification well, and there's no sign they're going to reconsider.
