I went back and re-did the edit for this Crow as I felt they were worthy of a proper ‘hero edit’. I am much happier with the end result - I think this may be my favourite bird of the year, possibly favourite photo!

An old, blue vehicle is partially covered by a green tarpaulin, sitting amid overgrown grass and vegetation. Surrounding the car are various discarded items, including wooden pallets and other debris. The scene conveys a sense of neglect and abandonment, with nature reclaiming the area. The vehicle appears to be in poor condition, with its windows shattered and interior exposed.

“A wide view of the Wallingford Screen in St Albans Cathedral, showing its towering medieval stone reredos filled with finely carved statues and intricate gothic tracery. At the centre, a large illuminated crucifix is surrounded by rows of sculpted saints, with the ornate altar and stone tomb sculpture beneath. Soft interior lighting highlights the depth and detail of the craftsmanship.”

Young Jay feeding.

This young Jay was too big to get on the feeder but had learned that he could reach by holding on to the main pole. The 'Eurasian Jay', part of the corvid family, are regulars in our garden here on the west coast of Scotland.
