I was again reminded how bluntly excluding everything IT is being built. I wanted to use the phrase "put me in CC of that email". But:
- Does an average person know what it means?
- Or even how to do it in their app?
- What if the field in their app has a different name?

soooo #mailgun has a free tier, which does more than enough for what I want - except it is neutered and you have to use their domain to send and can’t add your own… which defeats the entire point in my opinion.

Are there alternatives out their #HiveMind?

E-Mail wird nie sterben. Nur gelegentliche Hypes lenken zwischenzeitlich davon mehr oder weniger ab. Ergänzungen natürlich jederzeit möglich, wie es diverse firmeninterne Chatlösungen auch jetzt schon machen. Dadurch stirb allerdings nicht das Protokoll, das seit vielen Jahrzehnten in fast allen Sparten auf bewährte Weise hilft.

Ich gebe ihm mehr Chancen beim Heilen aller Krankheiten als bei Mail. 😉

While stuck in Ilulissat I have tried to deal with the email backlog (again). But they come in way faster than I can deal with them.
I love the idea of inbox 0 but would literally achieve nothing else if I practiced it, and work would be very boring.

In einer idealen Welt würden alle #Firmen bzw. #Arbeitgeber einfach nen Account im #Fediverse haben und unter #FediHire / #FediJobs / #GetFediHired ihre Listings mit den ensprechenden Daten posten, aber leider ist dem nicht so!

I've entertained myself by idea of creating email signature:

"I delete all emails after 30 days."

Just to encourage people to end their endless email threads. If I asked something, you didn't return in 30 days, well, it's up to *you* now to explain the whole problem again.

I haven't done such signature, but would really like to.

Übrigens die Geschäftsordnung sollte schon verbieten das man wichtige SMS E-Mails oder sonstiges vernichtet. okay meine Mails sind versiegelt so kommt auch niemand an die wichtigen Informationen liegt aber daran das man keine Funktionspostfächer wollte.
