Gamemastered #Earthdawn today. It went pretty well, I'd say. The player's characters are around 6th to 7th circle now. I do like the game and the mechanics, but sometimes it is a bit unpredictable. Today a bunch of average cadaver men managed to deal around 50 in damage per attack, due to lucky rolls, downing half the group. The encounter was meant as an easy fight, almost a no-fight, to have some kids come running and cry that the characters have murdered the kids' father.

I have most of the plot and setup ready for the next gaming session in #Earthdawn, but I can't decide on where in #Barsaive it should take place. A mid sized village corrupted by a powerful Horror. Could be pretty much anywhere, I think!
Having a hard time coming up with how to start the next stage of the #Earthdawn campaign. But I have two books I have recently found that I can turn to, to start the creative juices flowing again. They are Dangerous Destinations and Spectacular Settlements, both from Nord Games.
I am pleasantly surprised by how well they work for me.

Today I GM:d a session in #Earthdawn again. After all the Horrors and misery they've been through I thought they all deserved a night at the theater, to watch a newly written play called My Fair Orc, about this orc girl and a low class orc girl taught to speak like an educated well bread upper class woman.
Obviously I couldn't know that there would be 3 assassins from Hand of Corruption there to ruin the show! You can't blame me for ritualistic murders of actors!

In a few days I'm going to GM another session in #Earthdawn, the first after the campaigns first milestone. It is taking place in #Travar, and should be a mainly standalone event involving a murder conspiracy, spies, Hand of Corruption, and a premier performance at the newly built theater.

I'm excited to be welcoming a new player into my #Earthdawn campaign. The party is currently all circles 2 or 3, with 3 of the 4 ready to level up to circle 4. I think the new player will be fine starting at C1 because it really won't take much for them to get to circle 3 with this group and they haven't played in (I was going to say 20 years, but honestly I last played with them in 1994/5 so it's really 30 years) Earthdawn was their first and will be their 2nd #TTRPG experience. Welcome back!
Despite broken down cars, we managed to play #Earthdawn today. At another location, and with alternative ways to get there. But we did it. And only on PC died, but they had Last Chance Salve, so he came back. And it still all turned to shit, the let a Horror out of a Horror prison, and then they found the notes about the Horror and realized what a capitally bad idea that was.
Milestone 1 out of 4 resolved now. Now the troubles will start for real.

J'ai terminé le visionnage d'une sympathique aventure de découverte d' "Earthdawn" : la saison 1 de "Roleplay", rediffusé sur Youtube après une première diffusion sur la défunte chaîne Nolife. C'est le premier "actual play" que je regarde et ça fonctionne très bien : le format de 25 minutes est pratique et le travail important de montage fait que l'ensemble rend très bien. Une belle porte d'entrée dans Barsaive !
