out of steam for this project this morning but also somewhat determined to keep it going. Instead of explaining why each one of these is awesome to me I'll just explain that today is Saturday in my work week, the first day of my weekend, and I didn't do anything all morning, just laid on the couch, decompressing. These are like a Saturday mood board that I was feeling. I think they're all amazing

This is a very soft, semi abstract scene of a landscape with hills and trees and clouds, possibly a valley. Nothing is rendered in any kind of sharp or clear way

this is a valley in the mountains, with a road and a group of buildings below, rendered in a light watercolor style, mostly grey-green with a little brown and orange. But the focus of the painting is on a series of power transmission lines running from towers, the first of which take up the foreground, and more towers recede down into the valley. The wires seem to come at and pass behind the viewer as though we are up in the air among the power lines

My brother's impressive weight loss inspired me to try his approach to exercise: walk for 5 minutes each hour in my house. I got a little "hourly chime" app to remind me. I have it set up to remind me 11 times each day. #exercise #easydoesit

#GRATITUESDAY Yesterday I was sober for the 6,574th day in a row. Much of what I’m grateful for is directly tied to this repeating 24-hour practice of not picking up a drink or drug. I do not do this alone — countless others have extended to me immeasurable support over the past 18 years — may I, in turn, be part of why someone is #sober and #grateful in the days ahead.
