“While investigators' focus has been on the strain known as Salmonella Montevideo, multiple other strains were detected in samples taken from a Pennsylvania distribution center belonging to Florida-based Bedner Growers, believed to be a source, the FDA said in its Friday statement.”

Salmonella can get on crops when a watering source is tainted with animal fecal matter. 🤮

#CraziJalfrezi are back with us this evening with an amazing Mutton Jalfrezi and very, very moreish Indian Spring Rolls - they are fantastic - plus they're doing a load of pizza too, so if you fancy mutton jalfrezi on a pizza, go for it, it's a thing! Available from 5-9pm tonight.

We’re firmly in “big farmer’s market salad for Saturday dinner” territory. Tonight was: lettuce from our farm share, miso butter glazed roasted harukei turnips, roasted beets, roasted carrots, Parmesan cheese chunks, & toasted pistachios. With a yogurt-herb dressing using a mix of herbs from the market and from our garden. In a few weeks, no one at the market will have lettuce, as it gets too hot.
