Da #kenshi gerade im Angebot auf Steam ist, gucke ich ein paar Reviews und komme mir ein wenig Dumm vor, ich hab schon eine "Testversion" probiert und für interessant befunden, aber dann meinte der Reviewer #NoMansSky fühle sich danach wie Zucker an und ich dachte "danach"? und verwies dann auf das schlechte UI das einem das Spiel etwas versauert, das schlechteste, das er erlebt hat. #egosoft Er hat offensichtlich noch nie #x4 gespielt. Ironischerweise ist das Ergebnis aber das gleiche.

Ich versuche mich mal wieder an #X4.

Ich weiß ja nicht, ob es so gedacht ist, aber ich lasse lieber meine angeheuerten Piloten fliegen, als dass ich selber am Steuer sitze.

Solange kann ich mich dann darum kümmern, lohnenswerte Handelsrouten zu finden.

Do not buy X Rebirth (from GOG or Steam) unless you know someone who knows how to make it run.

On Linux it does not work since it is compiled against an outdated lib. I do not understand the Linux slang to make it work.

On Windows it starts in a border-less window that manages to place itself on top of the task manager. Quite impressive. Since it freezes after about 15s you have to do some trickery to get back to desktop, or, reboot.

I set a whole bunch of my Ships to automine. It does work, they haul in the cash. But the skill of the autominer does never go up, not even after hours and hours.

I distinctly remember it levels up after a while. But It was some (cough) years since my last play-though.

So,

yesterday was my first #X4 Session. I lied. It was like the 4th or so. 1st session was to install base game, expansions and patches in #linux. The following sessions were to configure my #hotas with tons of mappings.

Yesterday. I flew around a bit (while constantly changing the bindings) but it was fun.

But I need #money MONEY!!
