It is entirely my fault for assuming the #EhlersDanlos “Road to 2026!” countdown hyping of the new #hypermobility diagnostic criteria meant like, early 2026, but “expected December 2026” is weak sauce.

The good news is they’re actually testing the new criteria in actual clinics with actual patients before releasing it, but if you’ll excuse the mixed metaphors, I’m unsure basic playtesting deserves applause.

Again though, it is my fault for expecting more 🥲

Blähbauch von Antibiotika mit Ehlers Danlos Syndrom ist echt ein anderes Level. Erst Darm zwischen Hüfte und Rippe eingeklemmt. Gestern dann eine Rippe ausgekugelt vom Druck und meine Hüfte ist auch extrem auf Spannung. Gestern letzte Dosis. Wird jetzt dann hoffentlich langsam besser.

Die Nierenschmerzen sind dafür jetzt weg.

A short walk with the dog felt good. The antibiotics are doing their thing. And slowly, my digestive tract is calming down a bit. A literally sleepless night with bad cramps and pain wasn't fun but I am getting better. As so often, my Ehlers Danlos is making me susceptible to side effect bingo.

Die kleine Hunderunde tat gut. Die Antibiotika wirken und so langsam beruhigt sich auch der Verdauungstrakt etwas. Letzte Nacht war schlaflos, also so wortwörtlich ohne Schlaf. Heftige Darmschmerzen von den Blähungen hielten mich wach. Ehlers Danlos macht mich auch hier empfindlich. Aber es geht bergauf. :)

My achievements of the morning are a tiny walk with the dog and feeding the sourdough. And now, I am going back to bed. The dishes will have to stay dirty. Die Kombination aus kaputter Spülmaschine und kaputtem Kate macht einen großen Berg Geschirr in der Küche. Mein Erfolgserlebnis des Morgens ist eine kleine Hunderunde und den Sauerteig gefüttert zu haben. Nun geht es zurück ins Bett und der Geschirrberg bleibt liegen. Ich würde euch gerne alles Mögliche dazu erzählen, warum ihr eure Gärten jetzt nicht kahl machen solltet, warum die meisten Pflanzen besser über den Winter bleiben, warum ihr den Boden bedeckt lassen solltet.

Stattdessen liege ich schon den ganzen Tag flach. Und gehe jetzt auch zurück ins Bett. Ein weiterer Tag an dem ich nicht mal die Küche aufräumen konnte, zeitweise kaum stehen konnte.

Mein Körper ist anstengend.

Super sore thigh and butt muscles. Abdomen and legs feel inflamed. Let's see if I need today off... The deadline for the ditch and clearing out the first rooms is getting very close. Monday, the workers are coming to start. Well, gotta be at the apartment this morning but I did have a trip to the house planned for later. Ah well. First, a slow start to the day.
