Listless Liberal voters responding to Trumpism in Canada are certainly a great example for Democrat voters in the US.

I’m immensely grateful for graciousness in defeat and being humble and respectful in victory in Australia, and I’d like to see more of this and less cheap points scoring in the day to day (looking at you, APH Question Time); however, it’s not by design of our inherited Westminster system of government, or written into Australian Constitutional Law, so we must not take it for granted and do all we can to protect it by calling out toxic BS, not being a dickhead, and breaking bread with others whose views don’t necessarily align with ours .. unless they’re nazis (punch them).

🗳️ The Greens primary vote held steady but they are struggling to retain seats in the lower house.
They have lost two of their three seats in Brisbane — Griffith and Brisbane — while they may hold Ryan. Adam Bandt is fighting to hold his seat of Melbourne which was considered a safe seat.
