@bouncinglime @keira_reckons If the X-Bow caught your interest there are lots of hobby level #ErgonomicKeyboards, often with keys in columns for each finger, with stagger (offset for different finger lengths) and/or splayed (rather than parallel). These are generally #MechanicalKeyboard designs where the switches and keycaps can be changed (silent, smooth, clicky, weak/strong springs). Off the shelf look at eg https://www.zsa.io/voyager - and for small hands in addition too less keys for less stretching, I would focus on the smaller and tighter spaced low profile “choc” keys.

I've got to say, Boardsource.xyz has done right by me.

I have my beloved lily58 back up and running thanks to a replacement pcb/micro-controller. Many thanks to all who gave me troubleshooting pointers. I think it was a defective micro-controller all along.

My digits are confused but happy to be back to column staggered!

I've mostly finished building my Lotus58 keyboard, and I've been trying to dial in the keymap, but I'm really struggling to program the rotary encoders. QMK configurator doesn't support it, and I'm having a hell of a time trying to get Vial working. I hear Vial is very convenient if you get it working, but the documentation is not good. At this point I'm considering just manually programming it in QMK. Not looking forward to that, since I have a really hard time telling which place in the JSON array goes to which spot on my keyboard.

Does anyone have a better way to program rotary encoders on a keyboard?

I think the Glove makes up for it in ergo, but the Voyager's portability is unmatched.

I've been a fan of Microsoft's keyboards for years--I've been using the ergonomic keyboard since it had a PS/2 connector.

Since they've gotten out of hardware accessories and my current one is starting to wear out, does anyone have suggestions for good #ergonomickeyboards ? #microsofthardware #keyboards

The ability to stop me is slightly diminished!

Things slowing me down still, some I can handle, some blockers:
• Keys take a bit more attack
• ADB-USB Wombat needs more debounce on keypresses (llots of doubble tapps annd weird orderinng; complicated byb first point)
• The main keyboard arrow keys are a terrible layout (LR, then UD!?)
• Old Apple keyboards had the home row dimple on D and K keys
• This thing is still rather gross from the prior owner 🤮

And my Cantor finally got a nice case.

I guess I'll now have some boards to bring to #Mechanicon next year.

Well, until then I might have more than two to bring along 😹 (although these are pretty basic ones)
