Gold Coast mayor Tom Tate is calling for the state government to hand over funding allocated to help cover the city's growing disaster recovery bill following Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Dunedin Council has installed hexagonal, fibre-reinforced concrete modules for erosion control on a section of Taieri Mouth road. They're made in NZ and will eventually be planted with natives.
"Sea level rise (SLR)
poses a prominent challenge to current and future generations, impacting the habitability of coastlines, trade routes, and major infrastructure systems near the ocean."
