i just use #etar to share events in standard #iCal format that can be sent via any messenger (signal, email, ...) and loaded into pretty much any calendar (mozilla thunderbird, ms outlook, apple calendar or gnome evolution, ...)
is the solution to vendor lock-in really to get your friends hooked on another centralized service?
even if the client app is free, that's still what tuta is.

@eleder yo uso el calendario de #nextcloud (tenemos una instancia en un servidor de la gente maja de @MaadiX, pero dependende tu perfil seguro puedes pedir una en sitios como sindominio.net o disroot.org) y de ahí en android uso #etar -como alguien apuntaba por aqí- unto con #DAVx5 una app opensource para sincronizar caldav y tal y cual. No es lo más intuitivo del mundo pero funciona, y todo FOSS ;)
Komisches Verhalten vom Kalender #etar auf meinem Pixel 8a mit #GrapheneOS. Ich synche vier Kalender von mailbox.org per #DAVx5.
Feiertage 2025, Geburtstage, Termine und Aufgaben.
Aus irgendeinem Grunde doppelt er mir in Etar alle Termine aus dem Terminkalender. Und wie ich jetzt herausgefunden habe, kommen die aus dem Aufgabenkalender.
Keine Ahnung, warum das schiefgeht. Anfangs tat es das nicht.
Ich habe das gleiche Verfahren samt Apps auf meinem Xiaomi mit Android. Da passiert das nicht.

Hai qualche idea ? Forse dipende dal fatto che ho disinstallato l'app calendario stock ?

okay, ich gebe Dir Recht: Es ist ätzend , dass sich die Programme nicht ohne ADB deinstallieren lassen.
Bei den Anwendungen finde ich espeak, Rekorder und Arbeitsprofil ebenfalls unnötig. Vielleicht muss ich da auch mal „durchfeudeln“.
Die CalyxOS-Variante von Chromium finde ich in Ordnung, basiert auf #Chromite ("...with pieces of Brave"). Die Kalender-App ist #Etar, die hatte ich sowieso im Einsatz.

Ich benutze schon seit vielen Jahren #aCalendar und bin damit sehr zufrieden. Ist zwar kein FOSS, aber macht auch nicht den Eindruck, als wenn die vom Verkauf deiner Daten leben. Arbeitet gut mit der Nextcloud zusammen und lässt sich gut an eigene Bedürfnisse anpassen.
Trotzdem Danke für deinen Tipp. Wenn mal wieder ein Handy-Wechsel ansteht, werde ich mir #Etar mal anschauen.
@mailbox_org right now I'm using #thunderbird and #etar with ox sync but they don't play well together (you can't accept invites from mail into your calendar) thunderbird mobile has no integrated calendar and also for some reason doesn't do notifications despite asking for permission to do them
Ich sehe schon #etar ist beliebt.
Eine Einschränkung habe ich allerdings schon gefunden.
Bei wiederkehrenden Terminen kann man entweder nur alle Termine oder diesen und alle zukünftigen Termine löschen. Nicht aber nur den einzelne Termine.
@eskalator #Etar und #DAVx5 für Sync leisten mir seit Jahren gute Dienste. Ansonsten nutze ich @mollyim als Signal-Client.
This week I have started to use #Emacs for my TODOs and calendar events. Using org-caldav I could syncronize and later using in Android with #Etar (for schedule calendar) using the service of my Mailbox account, and #Orgzly in conjunción with an owncloud server for the TODO list. This is working nicely!!

Petite question concernant Etar et Davx5.
Ma copine utilise Etar et Davx5 pour gérer ses calendriers. Dessus on a un calendrier partagé.
Quand son téléphone s'éteint, elle perd tous les événements et il faut supprimer les comptes Davx5 et tout remettre. Elle a un Android Googlisé. C'est la grosse différence entre nos deux téléphones mais je connais des gens qui n'ont pas ce problème avec des Android Googlisés.
Une idée de où ça vient ?
