But #Trump is using #protests as an opportunity to seize power for the #Executive Branch, create a precedent for using the #military domestically, show base that he's a tough guy, bully a #liberal state, and stoke a sense of crisis that seemingly justifies his strongman #government. If a governor of a red state said "no thanks, we got this" to an offer of National Guard deployment, Trump wouldn't force it. #politics
