Apple TV, now with more Tailscale
You can now use your Apple TV as a Tailscale exit node, which is a pretty neat trick (I rely on Tailscale for access to my home servers when I’m away, plus one or two cloud servers without public IPs).(...)
So far the only drawback to using a Tailscale exit node is that it messes with location based things. Anything that wants my location thinks I’m at home, when in fact I am 1300 miles from home.
Small price to pay for cool technology.
Been busy getting a #tailscale team setup at home so can protect multiple people using Tailscale, #nextdns an #exitnode #android always on #vpn
Also our testing indicates #Tor is #censorable and there is active censorship in the network, especially when #trafficAnalysis may be able to identify who is using a connection.
We have tried multiple times to use #OnionShare and the connection cuts out about 1MB into the download everytime.
So its not just #exitNode related.
This means Tor is no longer able to protect #whistleblowers and #journalists in #Australia (elsewhere?).
Seems #I2P is a way forward.
Is anyone else getting the 'Secure Site Not Available' screen in #TorBrowser?
Its been appearing frequently in Tor since about a year ago now, and it tries to downgrade the connection to an #insecure #HTTP request.
It occurs somewhat randomly.
Our first thought was some sort of #exitNode TLS #DownGradeAttack, but we have reason to believe that the browser is randomly just trying to force users to downgrade their connection.
Thoughts?

As an #onionMaximalist, we object to the use of #http, because over Tor any #exitNode can alter what a client sees.
Both I2P and Tor have ways to ensure #authenicity. The (somewhat too) long addresses themselves do the #authenication.
We encourage I2P.

In case folks were wondering, RT is still available from Europe, just use Tor Browser and keep changing the #exitNode until you get a good one.
Its the best solution until RT have an official onionSite/eepsite.
