hands off veterans benefits.”

I would remind you of the world-changing work of Gandhi and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
And I would also tell you about the work of Harvard political scientist #Erica #Chenoweth and her colleagues.
To Chenoweth’s surprise — shock, actually — she discovered that over time, nonviolent protests are far more successful than violent ones.
Between 1900 and 2006, she says, campaigns of nonviolent civil resistance were twice as successful as violent campaigns.
She also came up with the so-called 3.5% rule:
No government can withstand a challenge from around 3.5% of its population without accommodating the movement.

It smacked of #KeeanBexte, the poster child for disrespect, misinformation, entitled harassment, overall ignorant a**wipe and self-appointed editor-in-chile of #TheCounterSignal, a bigoted, transphobic and supporter of #EvangelicalPatriarchy. I presume #Ezra’s #WesternStandard employs the same calibre of “reporters”.
In the latter portion of the Book of #Ezra, Ezra bore witness regarding his own journey and activities. He lived a couple of generations after the rededication of the Temple.
He was notable as a #scribe and #priest, and was commissioned to travel to Jerusalem from Babylon in order to instruct the people in the Law and to present offerings. God provided Ezra and all who traveled with him with a safe journey.

#Ezra described the difficulties the Jewish people experienced in attempting to rebuild the #Temple.
Jealous officials from the north persuaded the regime to suspend work on the Temple. But the Jewish people made appeal, and a copy of Cyrus' decree allowing Judahites to return to the land and rebuild the Temple.
Exhorted by Haggai and Zechariah, the Jewish people finished the Second Temple and dedicated it in the days of #Darius king of Persia (ca. 515 BCE).
In English Bibles, the Book of #Ezra is part of the historical section; in the Hebrew Bible, it can be found combined with Nehemiah among the Writings.
Ezra himself lived in the days of Artaxerxes I in the middle of the fifth century BCE.
Ezra began a work of his testimony by setting forth the story of the return of the exiles in the days of #Cyrus ca. 539 BCE and their intention to rebuild the #Temple.
