In Celtic and Gaelic lore, the triskelion (three spirals joined at the centre) represents motion, transformation, and the eternal cycle of life. It’s found carved into ancient stones, woven into tales of goddesses, and whispered through the winds of Éire. Some say it’s the symbol of the Morrigan, the phantom queen who shifts between maiden, mother, and crone.

This piece captures that mythic grace: a red-haired girl, hair like firelight, her green and golden robe like moss and meadow, her gaze steady, her hand gently touching her flame-like strands. Her choker bears the triskelion, and her robe shimmers with vertical golden needle point threads of Celtic spirals, shield knots and the three-sided triquetra. Behind her, a mosaic of symbols and mandalas creates a backdrop of memory and magic.
