A tech question:

I have bought a fancy #Elgato #Facecam , and while its "Camera Hub" software has some basic functionality for camera angle and so forth, it wants me to install #NVIDIA Broadcast if I want to use a custom background for the picture.

Now I want to know... how dodgy is NVIDIA Broadcast as a software? I am leery of installing anything that might end up little more than disguised data mining and whatnot.

It's not that I don't have a #Facecam for #Streaming, actually got a pretty nice 4K one even with Elgato Keylights to make myself look *really* shiny. However during peak #Covid I had to moderate *huge* Zoom conferences with more participants from all over the world than I will ever have viewers on #Twitch, and dozens of people staring at me without me being able to stare back gave me raging #anxiety attacks. I don't want to go back there. It was horrible.
