This is an autumn landscape format photo of three trees that are on one side of an accessible hiking trail that runs through an urban forest. The leaves on the tress are an orangish red colour. Many leaves have fallen to the ground and cover the grass at the base of these trees. The trail can be seen descending down a gentle slope into a lower section of the trail. Although some leaves in the distance are still green, this photo definitely has an autumn vibe to it.

My neighbor passed away recently, and the last thing he sent me was this article, saying:

I don't normally share the New York Times, but this one is special to me.

One thing I learned from the article is that leaves are useful to wildlife all year round, there's no time of year where you can destroy or remove them without hurting creatures living in them.

The trail is about eight feet wide at this point and has deciduous tress on both sides. The tree branches from both sides of the trail form an arch overhead, with the leaves being a vibrant yellow-gold colour. The trail's surface is covered with leaves that have already fallen. This is a landscape format photo of a paved accessible hiking trail that runs through an urban forest. The trail is about six feet wide and has trees on each side in this particular section. Most of the leaves are still green, but some fallen leaves can be seen on the trail's surface. A short wooden retaining wall is on the right side of the trail due to the elevation difference on that side. A large pine tree solidly stands immediately on the left side of the trail. The extent of the trees is captured in the frame, with the sky not being visible at all in the shot. As it was a sunny day, shadows from the trees can be seen on the walking surface.

This is an autumn season photo taken in landscape format of a mature deciduous tree with leaves in beautiful colour. The tree's truck is large and it's branches rise majestically upward and outward. The leaves range in colour from yellow to orangish. The sunlight on this day produced a backlighting effect so the colours really "pop". It was taken during a hike in a mature forested area. Many fallen leaves cover the ground as well as the trail's surface. Shadows from the branches can be seen on the ground. The frame is filled with the tree's branches with only glimpses of the sky coming through.
