I'm a bit bewildered by the immense number of cozy island restoration games that have come out in the past five years. They are all exactly the same: you arrive on a small island of quirky but nice (possibly animal) inhabitants that need help with gardening/crafting/cooking/mining, and you must travel to 3-5 other islands to solve mini-quests, repair bridges and collect trash to keep everyone happy. How did that formula get established so quickly?
