Watching "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (1982) on Peacock . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_Tim . Sure, I've had it on DVD for AGES, but I figure Peacock is using a HD version. Plus I didn't have to get up to fetch the disc. 🤪 #FastTimesAtRidgemontHigh

Found this question about Fast Times At Ridgemont High from someone of a different generation:

> Were high schoolers in the 80s really allowed to just go and do whatever they want with no parental supervision whatsoever? I don't even think there were any parents in this movie. Were teachers really allowed to just be a jerk and humiliate students in their class and just show up to a students house unannounced? Doubt it

While my teenage years were over a decade later and in another country I think the movie does reflect the lack of parental supervision that I remember.

I don't know of a teacher showing up at a student's house but I kind of assume that sort of stuff happened. Many teachers were jerks.
