One thing I didn't know about the beautiful FediMeteo service is, that it is running on a fantastically low budget ENV that looks like it runs from a Server Park that has more than 60.000 of those servers purring along.

This is all that I shall default from the podcast you're smart and you're curious just like me so you will find the podcast yourself I will not put any links and then you will download it listen to it learn and enjoy

Important note regarding FediMeteo

Please realize that all that work is done by one person one programmer in his free time. Do not get impatient or discouraged in any way shape or from if your country, your City has not been added yet

The work is much larger than you think, and your vision of how much it is, most likely is much lower, when you don't even know how to write a single line of code in any modern or ancient programming language

Just be patient and use something else in the meantime

Cool, #FediMeteo kannte ich noch gar nicht!

One of the things I've often worried about is latency. Both for FediMeteo and the BSD Cafe, I've always wondered how high the latency might be around the world, but no one has ever complained.
Now I can check from Canada, and the difference is really minimal - so low it's almost imperceptible. I still think about the wait times for web pages back in the old 56k days... 😆
