Today is my 3rd #Fediversary as I joined Mastodon on 30 April 2022. I believe I'd maybe poked at it a little bit previous to that but that's when I moved in properly.

Thank you all for making here better than the alternatives!

So, looks like yesterday was my Fediversary.

I made my original Mastodon account on Masto Dot Social April 24, 2022.

Three years I've been on Fedi.

It has been a good and different social media experience compared to my previous time on Twitter, Instagram, etc. I've seen less focus on getting widespread reach as an individual, with more focus on interacting and sharing.

Also, learning about tons of different music. It's been good.

Thank you to every person who follows me, likes my stuff, interacts with me, etc.

Here's to more years of decentralized nonsense from me.

(Technically, my very first #fedi account was on mastodon.host (RIP) from 2018-09-10 until Jan 2019, then on another instance from 2019-11-14 until I joined fosstodon, but I wasn't ever very active until fosstodon)

Also, my confirmation email and my very first post were actually from 2022-04-26, so I'm not sure where toot is getting 2022-04-25 from. I'm guessing the account was provisioned that night, but I didn't get around to confirming my email until the next morning.

So I guess I'll re-toot or link to my very first fosstodon toot tomorrow? XD

🥳 It's my 1-year #fediversary today!

I'm not the typical 2024 joiner, since the Fediverse was the first public social network I ever used. I'd avoided public social media before since I didn't want to get addicted to something whose main purpose was to advertise to me. Mastodon isn't the opposite of addictive - it's engaging - but I know I (more specifically, choice of instance and follows) have control over my experience, and get a mix of updates about things I'm interested in.

Oh, hey...I totally forgot last week was my 2 year #fediversary.

Today's my Mastodon server's 2nd birthday! 🥳🎉

On this day 2 years ago, I was banned from Twitter for a week for posting about Elon Musk's jet. During this, I taught myself how to set up #Mastodon using the moule.world domain name I bought earlier!

This is the 2nd of three "fediversaries" I have! The 1st is when I joined https://mas.to/@MOULE on November 8, 2022 and fell in love with the #Fediverse, and the 3rd is when I migrated to https://mastodon.moule.world/@MOULE on February 15, 2023.
